Lessons – All levels and ages!

Horse & Hive employs highly qualified instructors with quality experience that can teach all ages and experience levels. With three instructors, our program can focus on each and every students’ individual needs. From basics to advanced theories, in the saddle and on the ground, you will receive top to bottom instruction. We encourage questions and learning moments! The more a student wants to be involved do not hesitate to ask your instructor about options for extended education.

Ellie and Kaitlyn are both CHA certified instructors. This means each student is taught to focus on safety and establishing safe habits when around horses.

Lessons are offered Monday – Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
Times are schedules based on availability and your scheduling needs.

First time lessons with us text or call:
Repeat lesson students will schedule directly with their instructor

Our lessons are scheduled typically on the hour for one hour sessions
which include grooming, tacking up and saddle time.
Once a student is knowledgeable and able to get their horse ready for a lesson independently, without an instructor or working assistant,
we recommend coming early well before the lesson time to groom and tack up.

We please ask that  all cancellations be made 24 hours in advance. Each horse is scheduled with your child in mind.
Any cancellations made the day of the scheduled lesson that is a non-emergency is responsible to pay the full lesson price.

We will teach lessons inside in the case of inclement weather. These lessons may not include saddle time, however, will cover other aspects of horses, horsemanship, horse handling, care and maintenance that is not covered or discussed when riding. These lessons ensure the riders have a well rounded equine education.

Each instructor will use their own discretion on holding indoor lessons. Please check with your instructor directly if the road conditions are questionable.

Our instructors will do an introductory lesson
with all new students to discuss goals and evaluate the rider/horse
to develop a cohesive plan.

We offer a variety of educational options from lessons to special needs services. Contact us today to see if we can accommodate your needs!
